Marinella Pirozzi, as a microscopy specialist provides all of the Institute investigators with the latest imaging technologies, such as wide-field, fluorescence and confocal microscopy, live imaging, image acquisition, digital image analysis as basic and advanced applications (deconvolution, 3D rendering), and the expertise of using these tools. She provides technical assistance for the use of optical basic and advanced light microscopy instrumentations; provides consultation and training to use the various techniques of light and fluorescence microscopy, image analysis and processing and data transfer and storage; performs independent and collaborative preparations and analysis of specimens for electron microscopy.
